Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Remaster Confirmed for Mid-August

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is one of the most underrated RPGs of all time. Released back in 2012 by the, now defunct, 38 Studios, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning had a plethora of talents behind its name, including R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane (Spawn's creator), and lead designer Ken Rolston (The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion).

Unfortunately, the game was sunken under controversies surrounding the owner of the studio, Curt Schilling, former pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, who started working on an MMORPG that would dethrone World of Warcraft using money from the Rhode Island state.

After the project failed, 38 Studios had to file for bankruptcy, just as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning made its debut on the market. The IP was picked up by THQ Nordic back in 2018, which thought it would be a good idea to revive it this year.
