Amazon Driver Beats Woman Over ‘White Privilege,’ Claims Self-Defense

An Amazon delivery driver attacked an elderly woman over her “white privilege,” and it was all caught on video. However, the attacker also explained to police why the assault should be considered self-defense.

Surveillance footage captured an Amazon delivery driver viciously attacking an elderly resident at an apartment complex in Casto Valley, California. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office says that Itzel Ramirez, 21, punched a 67-year-old woman in the head and face at least 10 times after the victim inquired about her package.

White supremacy has become such a useful boogeyman that even the worst violent offenders can justify their brutality by conveniently blaming unconscious bias. In fact, if the culprit is of a certain political ideology or racial minority, it’s almost certain that the woke mob will defend them against their white victim regardless of circumstance.

When Ramirez pointed to her victim’s “privilege,” she was guaranteed automatic atonement by the social justice warriors for her violent actions. However, her claim not only absolves her from moral responsibility but places the blame squarely on the battered victim.

KTUV reports that the victim headed to the lobby after receiving a notification that her package had been delivered. However, her mail wasn’t there when she arrived, so she asked the Amazon driver about the delivery. Ramirez answered that she’d get to it soon, so the elderly woman returned to the lobby to wait.

After waiting for 15 minutes, the woman headed back outside the complex to once again ask Ramirez if she could get her package soon. It was then that a heated verbal exchange occurred, which led to Ramirez making a racial insult.

“I believe the Amazon driver said something about ‘your white privilege,’ and my tenant said, ‘You don’t need to be a b— about it,’ turned around and walked away,” said apartment complex owner Doug Smith.

Ramirez was caught on two different security cameras attacking the woman after she turned to go back inside. The Amazon employee repeatedly punched her in the head and face just outside the door to the complex before the victim finally made it back inside the lobby.

Ramirez was later arrested and charged with battery causing serious bodily injury as well as elder abuse. Both are felony charges. While she admits that she assaulted the elderly woman, Ramirez insists that her actions are completely justified. She claims that her victim spat at her before the attack. However, no such action appears in the footage.

Amazon released a statement, assuring the public that Ramirez no longer works for the company, the New York Post reports.

“This (incident) does not reflect the high standards we have for drivers who deliver our packages,” Amazon said in a statement. “We take these matters seriously and this individual is no longer delivering Amazon packages.”

Since the story broke, there has been a disturbing number of people expressing support for Ramirez, claiming that the elderly woman deserved to be assaulted for her attitude toward the delivery driver.

Of course, there is no justification for such violence, no matter what the elderly woman may have said or how rude she may have behaved. She posed no immediate threat to Ramirez and was even walking away when she was attacked. Still, the social justice mob will zealously defend the attacker simply because it fits their narrative.
