A groomer known as “pedo Jack” was finally caught after molesting and raping several children. However, after hearing the judge’s recommended sentence, the pedophile reportedly burst into tears and asked for his mother.
After being found guilty of grooming and sexually abusing children multiple times in the UK, 19-year-old Jack Walker earned the notorious title “pedo Jack.” The child predator was reportedly known for having young girls over at his Bridlington apartment before he was finally brought to justice.
Hull Live reports that Walker pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. Walker enjoyed abusing several underage girls, but he certainly didn’t glean any satisfaction from learning what his sentence will entail.
According to defense attorney Paul Genney, Walker suffered a mental breakdown at the idea of serving a prison sentence. In a disturbing twist, the child abuser has apparently reverted to a child-like state in custody, asking for his “mummy and his Lego” toys.
He said, “He’s damaged, basically. Whether he is beyond the point of redemption, it is difficult to know. He has been tearful and crying while in prison and misses, in his words his ‘mummy and his Lego.’ He’s obviously something of a child himself. He’s damaged by his upbringing.”
Although Walker seems mentally broken by the thought of a deserved prison sentence, his attorney hoped that his alleged psychological collapse would earn him sympathy with the court. Disturbingly, the pedophile’s defense may be that he himself has the mental capacity of the children he routinely abuses.
He added, “He’s got the sophistication of a 14-year-old himself, with very little empathy. We can’t penalise him for being unintelligent. He is vulnerable and tearful and is finding it to be the most traumatic experience. Hopefully someone, somewhere can offer him some sort of course or help that could help increase his sense of empathy or sensitivity.”
Walker’s grooming spree was finally put to an end after one of his victims, a 14-year-old girl, came forward to police. She explained that her abuser had coerced her to live with him and plied her with drugs to molest her, prosecutor Charlotte Baines told Hull Crown Court.
“He didn’t ask if he could, he just did it. He tried getting her to go upstairs with him, saying ‘come on, you know you want to do it,'” Baines said. “She told police she had messaged him telling her how old she was and he sent her indecent pictures and asked her to do the same. He sent her messages about taking her virginity and making sure it wouldn’t hurt. He tried to convince her to have sex with him on two or three occasions.”
Baines told the court that Walker used intimidation and manipulation tactics to keep his victims quiet, the Daily Star reports. Eventually, he pressured the child into having a threesome with him and his girlfriend, who has not been named.
Baines added, “He said ‘I will get into trouble – you don’t want that do you?’ One friend of the girl said that everyone knew him as ‘paedo Jack.’ The girl said she could often hear Walker and his girlfriend having sex and this would make her uncomfortable and she would turn the music up. She was asked to join them a few times and knew what had been meant by that.”
The court heard that Walker had sex with one underage girl an estimated 10 times and forced a teen boy to watch by threatening to stab him if he refused.
Baines said, “He went with them to an abandoned building and the defendant had sex with the girl. The defendant told him to sit down on a log and watch. He said he didn’t want to get stabbed as the defendant had a screwdriver in his pocket. The girl said, ‘Does he have to watch?’ and the defendant had said ‘Let him stay.’ He said he was scared of him and by talking to police after he said it felt like a betrayal.”
Defense attorney Paul Genney argued that Jack Walker has a learning disability, a low IQ, and grew up in a violent home. As such, Judge John Thackray ordered a psychological evaluation to determine if a prison sentence was even an option or if Walker should be remanded to treatment.
