Actors Ranvir Shorey & Konkana Sen Sharma Divorced After Ten Years Of Marriage; To Share Joint Custody Of Son

Some of the best relationships are not meant to be forever! Actors Ranvir Shorey and Konkana Sen Sharma have officially got divorced on August 13 this year.

After dating each other for nearly three years, the couple got married in 2010. However, they separated and stared living separately after five years into marriage. In February this year, the two filed for divorce. With a cooling period of six months after formally filing for divorce, a decree has been granted to them this month. As per media reports, both Ranvir and Konkona continued to be cordial with each other and would share joint custody of their eight-year-old son, Haroon.

As reported by TOI,

They came and left separately but nevertheless, this is one of the most peaceful divorces that one has seen in a long time. There is absolutely no animosity between the two. Sad of course that they couldn’t reconcile as a couple but who can control destiny?

Amruta Sathe Pathak, who was representing Konkona, said in the same report that all legal proceedings were complete now. She quoted:

Yes, Konkona and Ranvir are now divorced. It was done very amicably. It’s not that Ranvir and Konkona didn’t try to remain together, both even underwent detailed counselling – but it just didn’t sort out.

Ranvir was represented by senior advocate Vandana Shah.

• Marriage is not the end of life, neither divorce is taboo
• If a couple cannot co-habit together with mutual respect and love, it is best that they cordially part ways — infact for the better upbringing of their child/children
• It is better for children to live with both mother and father individually as per agreed timelines, instead of staying with fighting and abusive parents all their life
• Surely, both Ranvir and Konkana have demonstrated absolute grace by peacefully ending a relationship…that was not meant to be forever perhaps!
