Finally: Microsoft Updates Authenticator for Android with More Password Options

Microsoft has finally released an updated for the Authenticator app on Android that allows users to change their passwords right from within the app.

The update was originally announced earlier this year for iPhone users, and it’s finally going live on Android devices too.

This is a highly-anticipated feature for the Microsoft Authenticator app, especially for those who use it as 2FA to log in to their Microsoft 365 accounts.

Beginning with this update, the account details screen in Microsoft Authenticator displays more information per each account, such as the status of the phone sign-in feature, a one-time password code that can be used for authentication, as well as controls to change the password and update the security info of each account.

Microsoft Authenticator also offers options to review recent activity, in case you want to make sure that everything is fully secure for your account, and remove the account from the app.
