Microsoft has just made one huge step towards the release of the Windows 10 May 2020 Update, also known as version 2004, to production devices: it shipped the final build to the last batch of testers.In other words, the RTM build is now ready and is being tested by the latest Insider channel, and if everything goes well, the public rollout should kick off in just a few weeks.
More specifically, Microsoft pushed build 19041.207 to Windows insiders in the Release Preview ring – this particular testing ring is only used for the most stable builds, and updates here are typically released just before a new Windows 10 feature update is projected to go live.
Launch rather sooner than later
Microsoft itself has confirmed that it’s now giving the last-minute touches to the May 2020 Update.
