The first few boys who were rescued from a Thai cave have been given chocolate and access to TVs, though they can't yet watch them.
On Tuesday morning the first four boys rescued over the weekend were given bread and chocolate after asking for some of their favorite dishes from home.
A doctor said at a press conference on Tuesday that the boys have been given relatively plain and unspicy foods like rice congee while they recover, and have not yet received the pad kra pao (a chicken and basil dish) and other meals they had written about in letters to their parents.
The boys have also have TVs in their hospital room, but aren't yet allowed to watch it, for the sake of their mental health, officials said.
The boys are expected to remain hospitalized for at least a week, meaning they won't be able to take up FIFA's invitation to attend the World Cup final in Russia.
"They can watch on TV," the doctor said.
