TripAdvisor recently announced the winners of its Travelers' Choice Awards for Experiences. Using an algorithm that took into consideration the reviews and popularity of the activities on its site, TripAdvisor compiled a list of the top travel experiences around the world.
From climbing a bridge in Australia to learning how to cook in Italy, TripAdvisor's top-rated activities cover a diverse array of things to see and do around the world. Here are the 10 best things to do, ranked by TripAdvisor based on what actual tourists say.

10. Taking in the scenery of the Irish countryside is among TripAdvisor's top-rated activities.
On this tour, people traveling in Dublin escape the city with a visit to the Irish countryside. Tourists take a bus from Dublin to the rural landscape of Wicklow County, and visit Wicklow Mountains National Park and Lough Tay, where the movie "Braveheart" was filmed. After a lunch stop at a traditional Irish pub, tourgoers visit Glendalough, a glacial valley that has plenty of wildlife and history.
TripAdvisor reviewers say the tour allows them to "see the beautiful Irish countryside and experience authentic Irish cuisine."

9. Tourists say Victoria, Canada, is also worth a visit.
On this tour from Vancouver to Victoria, tourists take a 90-minute ferry ride to Victoria, the provincial capital of British Columbia. Once they arrive in Victoria, they board a bus to take a guided tour of the city's major sights and attractions. The tour also includes three hours of time to themselves in the city. At the end of the tour, tourists visit the world-renowned Butchart Gardens, a 55-acre floral garden.
TripAdvisor reviewers particularly enjoyed Butchart Gardens, which they say is "beyond beautiful" and has a "huge variety of plants."

8. TripAdvisor users say a tour of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls gives them amazing views.
On the tour, people gaze out over American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls from Skylon Tower before descending into the tunnels and looking over the edge of Horseshoe Falls from the lower observation deck. In the summer, tourgoers can set sail on a cruise and get up close to the thunderous falls.
According to TripAdvisor reviewers, this tour will "take you to all the main sites in Niagara Falls with ease." The only word of warning is that people should be "prepared to get very wet" on the cruise.
