Operations to rescue the eight remaining boys of the soccer team stranded in a partially flooded Thai cave network are underway.
Ten divers entered the Tham Luang cave network around 1 p.m. local time on Monday to extract the remaining members of the junior soccer team, Thai officials said.
Four members of the Wild Boar soccer team were rescued on Sunday, and are healthy. Eight other boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their 25-year-old coach remain stranded.
The soccer team had been trapped in the underground cave network since June 23. They were stranded by flash floods that caused water levels to rise, making it difficult to get out.
