Celebrities know just how nice it is to have friends on the inside in Hollywood. These friends can help each other land roles, defend against the gossip magazines, or even fluff each other's dresses on the red carpet.

You surely know about Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's lasting friendship and you might be well aware that "Friends" co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox are best friends in real life, but there are quite a few friendships that you likely never knew about.

Here are 23 celebrity duos that you didn't know were friends.

Katy Perry and Allison Williams

Not only do they attend awards shows together, but singer Katy Perry and "Girls" actress Allison Williams say they're close enough to have best-friend telepathy.

The friends even accidentally went blonde on the same day in 2017.

"I was texting her, and I was like, 'I'm going to be blonde next time I see you,'" Williams told People. "And she was like, 'Me too!' It was hilarious."

Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd

Aniston and Rudd first met when they co-starred in the 1998 movie "The Object of My Affection." They remained close friends, working together again when Rudd joined the "Friends" cast as the side character Mike Hannigan in 2002.

The old pals played an on-screen couple once again in the 2012 movie "Wanderlust" (which also starred Aniston's now-ex-husband Justin Theroux).

"I love him. He is a dear friend," Aniston told The Hollywood Reporter while talking about working with Rudd again. "We just have a true affection for each other and I just feel honored any time I get to work with him."

Millie Bobby Brown and Maddie Ziegler

Brown and Ziegler became besties after the "Stranger Things" star went to see Ziegler appear on "So You Think You Can Dance." They met backstage and instantly connected.

"You followed me on Twitter — and I had a meltdown — and the rest is history, really," Brown said when Ziegler spoke with her in 2016 for Interview Magazine.

Now the two can be spotted in Instagram posts celebrating their friendship and even visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter together.
